Luise Lyons 79, succumbed to a long illness on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 9:15 am. She was born March 11, 1938 in Getscha Romania. Luise and her husband Jack met and were married in Bremerhaven Germany on March 11, 1958. She and Jack were married for 36 years and were deployed to several naval stations in the US and around the world. She was a Holocaust survivor, a Red Cross volunteer, and a compassionate and a dedicated Navy housewife, Her favorite past times were dancing and playing bingo. In lieu of flowers donations can...

Luise Lyons 79, succumbed to a long illness on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 9:15 am. She was born March 11, 1938 in Getscha Romania. Luise and her husband Jack met and were married in Bremerhaven Germany on March 11, 1958. She and Jack were married for 36 years and were deployed to several naval stations in the US and around the world. She was a Holocaust survivor, a Red Cross volunteer, and a compassionate and a dedicated Navy housewife, Her favorite past times were dancing and playing bingo. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Texas; Paramount Baptist Church of Amarillo Mission Ministry or the American Heart Association of Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack D. Lyons, son David W. Lyons, 3 other children, parents, 3 sisters and one brother.

Her survivors include her daughter Cyndy Lyons of Amarillo; nephew Ralf Verheyen and wife Sabine of Germany; many other nieces and nephews; friends Mr. and Mrs. James Cathey and daughter Christy. Longtime friends Joe Zamora of Amarillo; Erica, Daniel and Kyle Zamora of San Antonio.
